Kylie, the Exhibition, V&A London
Kylie’s early tours featured
costumes of prominent Australian designers, each one revealing
a different look. Later however her approach to costumes became
more integrated in creating distinct moods and themes. For
the Kylie Tour 2002 she wore costumes designed by Dolce &
Gabbana. They are fasinating costumes!

Christian Lacroix, Fashion in Motion, V&A London
Studying Art History
wanting to become a museum curator or costume designer, Lacroix
fell into fashion by chance. His designs are unapologetically
glamarous, expensive-looking and his ornate bustiers and opera
capes dramatic. He came to epitomise the 80's through use
of sumptuous fabrics (velvet, satin, taffeta) and overlapping
patterns (patchwork, stripes).

Asbjorg had the wonderful opportunity to meet Anna Piaggi,
a legendary self-styled icon, fashion reporter and editor,
in person. ‘She is intellectual about the visuals of
fashion and a great inspirational personality. She has fun
with clothes and is wonderfully mad when it comes to dressing.
She makes history present and present relevant’. |
